Global warming

Is it just me, or does anyone else in Britain feel rather sceptical about global warming? We've had four rubbish summers, and four very cold winters, and it doesn't seem that long ago that I was reading of a distinguished academic who said that for many of the children growing up now, snow would be something they would never have first-hand experience of.
